if my partner ever asks me to have my real time location forever on her phone i will dig a hole in the ground and bury me inside it can’t believe how people do that these days

to me giving someone my 24/7 location is my way of saying ā€˜i trust you completely’ i got a few close friends and we all have our location shared constantly, think it’s a nice reminder for me that life doesn’t just pause if i’m not interacting with them (i check v rarely)

that’s nice and almost made me delete my cast, which comes from seeing two girls (15 and 23) that are close to me checking where they boyfriends are in a way that felt creepy. not like ā€œtrustā€ based but another kind of energy. but it may be that I’m just unplugged from the nice part of having it like this tbh

to me it sounds like you’re possibly witnessing an anxious attachment style (they probably feel like their boyfriends are not predictable and dependable) maybe the difference in the nice part is whether you’re happy to give it up or if someone asks for it — when i share out my location, i’m happy to share without them needing to reciprocate (it’s usually just a case that they too see it as nbd and are happy to reciprocate)
