Awwwn, happy birthday to her in advance. Baby musical set, but you will never have a quiet day in ya house.

My daughter will also be three in a  few months.

Duplo or playmobile. Something where it’s easy to buy another set, extend the game. Works especially well if you have relatives that aren’t that good at getting gifts for your kids

+1 to magna tiles (picasso). They also make little LCD drawing pads (kinda like etchasketch) that are super cheap on amazon (like 2 for $5). also the yoto is neat. overpriced but it's nice to have some form of independent entertainment that doesn't involve a screen

If you've got a yard inflatable bounce house on amazon (with slide). She'll play for hours and you can enjoy some relaxation in the sun

she doesn't know cartoons exist. i know her whole experience will be mind blown when she discovers them (and i will be alongside her) but so far we have opted out of tech for her

to allow her imagination to blossom like a nice flower at the beginning of spring

and it has worked man, you know? she is beautiful. im so grateful for being a dad

and just after taking this picture i had the great idea of actually licking one of the ice creams and made a funny face because it triggered in my awareness the memory of that taste that I had inside since I was a little kid that ate these things as if they were eatable and because of that my daughter discovered that they could actually be licked and they are salty and she loves salty things (idk why tbh) and now she only wants to eat the play doh and my wife is angry towards me because it was my fault that I showed her that she could bring these things to her mouth and actually feel something related to a taste she likes

mmm she is v intelligent, and has her rational side developed just as a consequence of interacting with her environment (we don’t force this into her with toys or specific books)
