The coffee you get at a petrol station in New Zealand is better than 95% of coffees I've had in SF bay area.

I had a coffee at a NZ supermarket today, it was better than blue bottle.

The bar is just that much higher here. Feels like everyone and their mother is a god tier barista.

Okay this is a hot take because I think SF has some of the best coffee shops in the US. Where did you get coffee in SF?

The standard here is so high I have to consciously lower my coffee expectations while travelling anywhere (tho Aus does pretty well). In reality I sit there on google maps for half an hour each day painstakingly checking reviews 🥲
