The coffee you get at a petrol station in New Zealand is better than 95% of coffees I've had in SF bay area.

Okay this is a hot take because I think SF has some of the best coffee shops in the US. Where did you get coffee in SF?

Blue bottle is good not great, same with ritual. Four barrel is pretty good

Are the beans any better or just the barista quality?

Ritual, blue bottle, four barrel, verve, etc. done them all.

I had a coffee at a NZ supermarket today, it was better than blue bottle.

The bar is just that much higher here. Feels like everyone and their mother is a god tier barista.
