yes, i think most users will not think about what chain they are on when they are transacting day-to-day. i think in order to do this we need much better wallet infrastructure. we're working on that with account abstraction and other investments. think we'll make a *ton* of progress this year.

Yuuuup. I thought Farcaster ran on Optimism until I went looking on optiscan for the NFTs I minted through frames. I found them on basescan instead. The site works for me, running on crypto rails. Which ones they are don't really matter to me as a user.

I love and will always support self custody wallets, but I’ve noticed the crypto community underestimates how useful custodial wallets are. open data accessible without permission onchain vs the old web2 closed silos is a massive unlock on its own

Occasionally I'll do a swap straight from the MM wallet and I don't really think about which DEX I am using, I'll go for the cheapest one i know. Once we get fast, seamless, one click bridging, we will be hopping chains without a thought.

One thing I'm always thinking when I hear about AA is the risk of fragmentation. Thinking mostly about these AA smart wallets generated on every single dapps. You'll end up having untrackable funds everywhere and eventually lose track of them for good. Shouldn't the EOA remain a unique identifier to unlock AA?

100%, abstraction is key - users don’t care about the code behind Instagram when tagging a friend, they care about the experience

I sure hope so. I'm an average end user and switching/bridging between chains is a pain.

Liquidity aggregation will be a game changer once it becomes seamless, and once fees start to become more standardised and predictable. At that stage the winning chains will be those that optimise for things like liquidity, speed or efficiency… This way the frontends become much simpler

Chains will be just infrastructure layers for developers and it won’t be a question for users. But, to do this scenario real we need solutions such as account abstraction and cross chain protocol (Chainlink’s CCIP or LayerZero as example).
