note: hivemapper isn't quite this. AFAICT that's more like google street view onchain. i'm more interested in building the actual geotagging and metadata of the map layer.

locationary's platform would have been perfect for this, had the whole rewards points system for map edits, rewarded devs for building bots to keep map data up to date. Then Apple bought them shut it down. If anyone is working on something like this hit me up.

/foam built this in 2018-19. It still exists, but team focus has been on proof of location i.e. moving objects like people or vehicles checking in trustlessly onchain with a location & time value.
