i'm more interested in building the actual geotagging and metadata of the map layer.

Imagery is the raw data that is used to build the map layers.

Our Map AI pipeline is creating all the detailed map features (speed limit signs, stop signs, lane definitions, etc)

But if the camera quality gets better and AI tooling gets good enough it might be able to work with whoever is building this to auto populate/verify map details.
