My wife and I are thinking about a fall trip to Portland

Do a Colombia river gorge drive one day

What else should we do? What are the best fall in Portland activities?

absolutely go to the gorge. my family has a lake house up there and it never disappoints. 

i would spend an afternoon on 23rd and 21st st in NW for lunch. good shops, etc. same with some of the restaurants for dinner on the east side of Portland.

downtown sucks.

cannon beach is great as well for a day.

I am also a big fan of ice cream hikes
