What's the best way to "build in public" when you start working on something new?

Somewhat related, Iโ€™d love it if I could tell website/blog visitors/users to *subscribe* to our launchcaster page as a sort of updates changelog. Idk if they should receive updates as emails, xmtp, mentions or all 3 but that would be nice.

Still thinking about this - on Twitter recently there's also been a bit of re-consideration from some users on Building in public Concerns are about overexposing your ideas too soon and getting ripped off before you even go live But for some reason I don't think that applies as much in this space

Useful heuristics: - share publicly what you were sharing privately with colleagues / friends - think aloud (and share your thoughts)

just publish. If you remember, I launched Kiwi News literally with no write functionality. Users had to use a CLI and it was totally useless. Yet, Mac saw it and joined the team from that day on. Before the launch, the repo was always open too.

Take your laptop to a coffee shop. But honestly I think it's just journaling in public. Writing or making videos, pick 1 platform. Whatever is most enjoyable to you because enjoyment is the only way you'll be able to sustain it. The style, your style, will develop naturally as long as you're able to do it consistently.
