The tipping feature is a really nice aspect to Farcaster. I was skeptical of it at first, but creating a culture of backpatting with stakes greater than smashing a like button breeds much more thoughtful interactions. I wonder if, at scale, it could become a meaningful source of revenue for journalism to support reporters or future publications on this platform.

Gamification beyond the leaderboard would be interesting to see. Pinky Doll helped open my eyes to what how crazy gamified tipping can be.

A TikTok streamer who went viral back in ‘23 … she interacted with the rewards being given in her streams in realtime in a way that encouraged people to just keep giving. She was making $1000s per stream and spawned a whole crowd doing it. It was very bizarre to watch: https://people.com/who-is-pinkydoll-tiktok-creator-npc-7966820

Tip velocity is really what she figured out. I’m sure there’s a way to foster that on Farcaster also.
