for people from other countries i get it completely and would go so far as to say it is an existential threat to all but the top few fiat currencies

for americans with easy access to USD I don't see good reason to hold USDC other than temporarily for trading purposes or the like

CB rates can be matched by something like Wealthfront for personal or Mercury for business
