i asked @dwr.eth recently about the character limit on long casts i understand it's a tough issue with real trade-offs but i find myself bumping up against it all the time, feels like average multiple times daily (i cast a lot) curious if other people bump into it a lot or if it's just me and my long form tendencies?

I've often wanted to share something longer and held back because I didn't want to do a thread

i think the best alternatives are screenshot essay or paragraph post but while i like paragraph it feels a bit heavyweight for the purpose of drafting a long cast i might start doing what i did in the quoted cast more just screenshot the draft cast and send that max lazy but avoids the thread or anything heavier

But I still think even a slightly higher limit would cover 80% of long cast use cases

yea i was going to say the same actually i think a double would cover 80-90%+ for me but then i wondered if that would become untrue once the new limit is on if i would then often go less than double above that limit as well not sure, but a double or even 50% would certainly be a great start

@antimofm.eth @jake not sure if this would be useful for y'all, but an idea we've floated around: a FC mini app that provides a lightweight Editor to make publishing a post a little more approachable & easier. Not sure how exactly this would work or if it's feasible, but would love any feedback!
