Mainly, I just want some outside perspective on what makes for a good art contest. Looking for input from people with either a sense of what the Farcaster art community likes to participate in, or from those who have managed communities and run contests on Farcaster.

Thanks for the tag @awedjob A lot of things are uber subjective. Multiple judges of all forms are a great idea too. There needs to be a few different ways of looking at the criteria or strict guidelines since if you are looking for “specifics.” A decently long deadline with reminders that folxs opt into since those can also get really lost. A set number of entries allowed. There are more I’m sure too yet this list comes to mine at the moment.

Thanks @jacque ! What is "a decently long deadline"? How does 3 days sound? That also includes some weekend days (Thur-Sunday)

If it is for AI most likely yes. If it's more traditional or mixed media that can all differ. Sometimes my physical art with life and work ATM takes longer than being able to continue to refine a prompt tirelessly until my desired result through iteration fits my style and the contest's scope. Some good examples are to look at some of the rounds run by all the nouns channels and see how many days they tend to give for different mediums.

Yes, this makes a lot of sense, to modify the length based on the medium.
