last year I reluctantly upgraded from a 5yo iPhone XS (left) to a 15 pro (right). today I held the XS again and can confirm it still feels like a much superior device. the design, materials, balance, flatness/thinness, shape, unobtrusive camera. just all-around better. I think Apple is losing its edge on design.

It's almost like Jonny Ive left 5 years ago. When the headset came out I thought, ohhh that's why he left.

in that regard, iPhone 4 would be my favourite all time goated iPhone (for design)

full agree, the huge camera is now destroying the form factor and is exactly what people laughed at years ago when android phones started having them im still on 12pro, with still quite manageable camera and i’m not looking forward to upgrading

the most frustrating part is the lack of an unclunky iphone option, all have protruding lenses and an untenable heft. i’ve been in their ecosystem for years but find myself researching other phone options more lately. wonder how many would opt for a no camera option if made available.

1000% I powered up my x last week and it’s so much nicer to hold. I’m legit considering going back…

The great cameras are only useful for creators that always need the best quality of camera when recording, but even that I struggle with mine since they haven't learned how to deal with the 3 lens as they keep changing while you are taking photos or recording, no wonder they lost to nvidia and might keep falling

I have not seen a better iPhone than the iPhone 4. The glass on the front and back had superior feel. Definitely agree on the design

The only thing that changes from an IPhone is always the camera, reason why I will always prefer Samsung over IPhone always and forever.

Totally get where you're coming from. The iPhone XS had a timeless design with premium materials and a sleek feel. While the 15 Pro brings advanced tech, it seems Apple might be sacrificing some design elegance for functionality. A balance between the two would be ideal!
