if you had to guess: how much do you think you’d have to pay for all internet (youtube/twitter/IG/news etc) as an individual in exchange for no ads and everyone still makes the same amount of money?

Same as V, if not a bit more. Hypothetically though the more content costs, the more refined and targeted it will become for the user base. With an ad revenue model, click bait and mindless scrolling content still makes money even though it really doesn't optimize value for anyone.

Netflix is introducing an ad option that is 6.99/mo as opposed to its basic plan of 9.99/mo. Youtube charges 11.99/mo for ad-free videos + extra content. HBO charges 9.99/mo with ads and 14.99/mo w/o ads. The avg is 6.66/mo/platform w/o ads. However, the problem is the 'ad' value of an individual viewer is variable.

I’ve been wondering about that. The challenge is that people who are willing to pay are likely the most lucrative users. So the incentive is low, unless you can use a custom sliding scale? Wild guess for IG: I’m thinking $8/month average but with a sliding scale I may be a $20/month user 😭
