What’s interesting to me about Partiful is not the Palantir past of the founders but their public insistence that they don’t have fiduciary duties 

They do! I don’t care what they say, they do! They do in fact have a responsibility to recoup capital. They aren’t a charity. 

I dislike this so much although I have benefited from it. Over time I think this type of posture makes for irresponsible founders and consumers inured to the idea that they “deserve” free lunches

I don’t think they’re saying they should never make money, but that the service standalone has too small a TAM for venture backing. They clearly don’t have it all figured out yet
