Sorry I did jump the gun on that wrt a true 9-5 job, but the leap to owning a small plumbing company subcontracting work out to a handful of plumbers gets you far closer in major metros. Something that doesn’t take immense skill to run, but a major shift in outcome by taking some skin in the game

Most plumbers aren’t making 200k in my state. Most electricians aren’t even making that yet. Its possible. And some may be, but the majority not yet.

Could have been a healthy plumber or construction worker out in the sun, but my intrusive thoughts about becoming the next unicorn is turning into a real toxic trait.
