*slams a four shot espresso drink* Quite good so far. A lot of highly tactical advice for those building in consumer from the 🐐 (@nikitabier) https://open.spotify.com/episode/7ucJRiXEpJRahOZZKEWPjj?si=3j4241WmSzSQSuJvlRqR5Q

1. Build for tweens or forever pay for user acquisition 2. Have repeatable ways to test and iterate 3. Fulfill an unmet need (there will be signs) and PMF will pull you to the tune of 6fig AWS bills 4. Marketing is never an afterthought. Have a contiguous experience from marketing campaign to app experience

Ty Jason I would add Nikita’s personal story of 14 pivots in 5 years just as they were shipping the app that would get acquired by Facebook the first time many members of the team were submitting resignations Once he chose to work on gas he built a new team, new infrastructure and had to figure out new viral mechanics around the teen market. He notes how important it is for users to instantly match with friends upon registering rather than tap and type 50 different usernames. How the details in consumer apps have to be near perfect and that the margin for error is very low. If they don’t find what they’re looking for within 3 seconds users will go to the next app. Every tap is accounted for. Every tap is gold. Hope this was helpful @benersing I was writing my YC app hehe
