I grew up on the west coast and only visited NYC after living in Tokyo for a few years. Honestly was kinda disappointed 😅 I'm sure the vibes are amazing if you're into the right places, but I was only there a couple days and it felt, well, very different from Tokyo.

just got to Kyoto from Tokyo, good to get away from the city ngl tokyo is like bangkok but 20 years ahead London density is no comparison, idk how there's 4x more traffic there too when tokyo has 4x more people F
