Since some over-stake Degen, part of the tip allowance pool becomes unavailable to everyone. Any ideas on a fair way to distribute those locked tip allowances to both over-stakers and other users? Someone staking a few million Degen should get some perks. We’d love to hear your thoughts!

Per @reneecampbell, maybe it's as simple as just sharing the whale overstake among the bottom most stakes (ie, 10k stakes) evenly. No one would get much and nothing would be wasted by whale aggression. Lift the bottom, headwind for the top.

Maybe this won’t fix the issue but I would love to see a delegation feature, where people with high or low DEGEN allowances that don’t want to give them out (for time sake or whatever) can give their allowances to someone they trust will give them as expected and to help grow the community

Let's consider the desired outcome and the behavior we aim to shape: We want to attract the attention of degens and reward honest, thoughtful tippers who have skin in the game. We should distribute rewards to those in the pool who are growing their social capital by increasing their open rank score over the previous week, weighted by the highest score delta. Our goal is to uplift aligned individuals and amplify the reach and attention on degen.

what if instead of limiting it to 10k. anything you over-stake goes 50% to a new pool for over-stakers to get boost, 50% to the rest of stakers get a boost (to try and battle for the number go down forever problem)

Good thing to ask the community about what to do about the over-staking.👍 Here is some additional info for ppl: 1) Currently ~400k $DEGEN are "lost" daily. 2) This is 100k less than 24h ago and 200k less than 36h ago. 3) "Lost" only means that this amount will remain available for future airdrops. Sorry for any confusion. My personal take: This problem will most likely solve itself by a growing pool size because more ppl naturally drop below the 10k mark.

why not use openrank to split the rest? or just split it "evenly" (cap the input total and calculate ratios from that).

Even if a fair solution is found, people who have staked large amounts will definitely complain if their allocation decreases. Since there's a lock-up period, they'll be even more sensitive about it.
