actually very valuable context in the dexscreener description lol "Proxy (PROXY) began as the native governance token of Proxyswap DAO and the Proxyswap protocol on Degen Layer 3 & Ham Chain. On August, 16th, 2024, the DAO migrated token governance to Base, where contributors from Proxy Studio & FBI Labs are developing a new social trading protocol."

Proxyswap dao is defined here in the initial announcement https://paragraph.xyz/@proxystudio.eth/introducing-proxyswap @proxystudio.eth the person and @dish started a company and that company created clanker They are separate, as is Mercenary Capital (trading fund). AFAIK Merc is winding down, proxy is on hold, and Clanker is taking 99% of attention of proxy studio.

$proxy is the protocol token (think UNI) for proxyswap.tips the token launcher contracts clanker uses were originally developed for that project so related but not directly
