everything is OFF since yesterday and users are so so so pissed at these changes. Poor new users who were trying to build their accounts here are feeling broken right now.

Disagree. Since channels are a reverse chronological feed, better to be conservative with how many people can cast imo.

This is what I meant when I kept calling out the spam and bots issue. The music channel has 67k followers, but only 10k have casted at least once, and I’d bet fewer than 1,000 are actual users. Those FC DAU numbers people loved to brag about were super misleading

idk what the settings are for /farcaster but i know /memes is a subscription model via /hypersub so will not see many members there likely

the change is achieving the desired outcome - curbing spam
but comes at expense of possible legit users not being made members 🤷‍♂️

to which i imagine dwr would say, up to the channel owner to arrange a workable scenario now
