It depends on a type of bread imo. Sourdough always good will not throw out. Others can go to hell unless it’s a perfect slice

πŸ€” I never thought of it as heels. I always just say the bread booty πŸ˜‚ Also, those pieces are AMAZING for a Nutella spread and french toast. More sturdy and less chance of breakage when using a thick spread.

Depends on the bread, sometimes the heel is my favorite part. Some breads I’ll pull the fluff out and only eat the crust. There are more potential valuable compounds in the crust, again, bread dependent
