Farcaster is unique out of all the alt-socials because it caters to the very small slice of folks who think Elon’s doing a Great Job with X and also for some reason want an alternative

The other platforms can leverage disgust for what X has become for growth

much to say but tl;dr even if elon makes X financially viable, it will still be a failure compared to what Twitter was and the 'it still runs' elon fans are entirely missing the point 

and are wrong too, critically important political audio spaces ended up being embarrassments to the X brand b/c of technical problems
