For the font lovers: Gorton font Marcin, the author of the blog post, explains his research about the widely used font Gorton in NYC. The font dates back to George Gorton Machine Co.s engraving machines. The font is very recognizable because of his line and unusual forms. The font is widely used because it offered durability and ease of reproduction when SVG or TTF fonts were not available.
