Try it with NoScript running. There's an obnoxious bright red banner at the bottom while the site works fine.

Nine times out of ten I just leave whatever I wanted to read instead of opening dev tools and removing the banner.

Yup, similar to websites that immediately ask “do you want to subscribe to our newsletter?” when it’s my first time on the site
