Got a new one on the way :) question for parents of 2+ kids: - what are the highest-impact logistic hacks I can think about in advance? - especially in the first few months, what was your experience with childcare (babysitter v nanny v inhouse etc)

We decided against full-time childcare. My wife quit her job and decided to be a stay at home mom. It worked out well because the logistics were going to be a scheduling nightmare for us.

You mean the logistics of your wife working? Can you say more about how you weighed the decision and what you were considering?

At the time we “needed” the 2nd income. The cost of childcare was going to eat up a good portion of that so we decided it was better for her to just quit her job. She really wanted to be a stay at home mom anyways. Between our differing work schedules we were going to have to change some things around to make the drop off and pick ups work and my boss wasn’t very flexible.

Yeah I’m not sure how’d we make the 2nd full time daycare work. Soo much money.

When you factor in time, gas and other costs a lot of times it’s not worth it.
