Lots of folks predict the end of SaaS because AI makes it easy to quickly vibe-code disposable todo lists or diet trackers. But how much throwaway software do you really want if you value your time? In an era flooded with AI-generated mediocrity, there’s huge value in software where details, edge cases, and security are thoughtfully handled—saving you time, money, and frustration.

the saas that remains will be palantir/flexport style, ultra complex software, 18 month sales cycle, 20 people on the first zoom call, 6-8 figures annually saas

I don’t want to have to navigate 15 different half baked versions of calendly or debug edge cases in my calorie tracker. Theirs always gonna be a place for basic software that’s well designed, maintained and fairly priced.

Yeah definitely. Lots goes into making something like Noom or Cal.com work. I'd love to read something about what exactly that is, for consumer-facing apps people view as basic.
