This is what I have achieved so far in the cold UK! The bananas are wrapped in situ through the winter, and most of the other plants are protected with mulch if needed. The super tender plants are brought into the polytunnel. This photo was from September 2023. What are you growing?!

i keep all my plants indoors bc unfortunately i live in a cold climate 😩 if i were to plant my banana outside, do you have to worry about roots freezing in the winter and killing it? that’s kinda been my concern

Hey! I wrap them through the winter, so none of it freezes. They are technically 'root hardy' so will survive a freeze usually, but I wrap them to keep the height into the next year.
