i remember reading something about how a good use case for crypto would be pow for ai but i can’t find the article again i think the idea was the inherent difficulty/costliness of pow would inhibit ai’s ability to fuck with the network and that this could serve as a protection from “fake” content is anybody building something that kinda follows this idea?

the main reason im bullish onchain gaias is bc in my mind it capitalizes on a naturally occurring form of energy and ai agents are going to require a lot of energy to be effective so much time/money is spent on financial markets and games. all of this effort, lost to the ether the moment an action is completed. this will never stop, ppl will always play these games, it likely just accelerates as the world becomes more nihilistic. and there is no use in trying to change human behavior en masse. “It's all just the same thing over and over; we can't help ourselves. And you and I can't control it, or stop it, or even slow it. Or even ever-so-slightly alter it. We just react.” but what if we could guide it, point it in the right direction and capture some this massive ball of energy to put it to use? imo this is the end game of onchain gaias and if it’s even remotely successful that could be a massive unlock for humanity

it’s almost as if directly ponzifying the social interaction layer makes social interactions cringe and not fun it’s almost as if memecoins abstract the ponzification away and allow for social interactions to be more fluid/natural and fun
