Is there a tool or service for easily retrieving or generating podcast transcripts? (As a listener, not a creator). I would much rather spend 15 minutes reading a transcript even if it's imperfect than listen to your hour long podcast. (sorry not sorry)

You can send the podcast audio to the open ai whisper api and get a transcript. I use this for grabbing 30 second snippets when something seems worth writing down. Guess you could do it for the whole episode as well.

Use Snipd works well for me. I can also push snips to notion/obsidian for recall. I do this a lot for business podcasts or huberman

I want this too, primarily because I don't want to take notes while listening to a podcast but sometimes I'm like damn after the fact I would love to go grab that one quote or concept.

I use Readwise Reader for this. Specifically video podcasts on YouTube bc I don’t want to watch or listen. I read much faster, and listening takes too long. https://readwise.io/read Lemme know if you need an invite for an extra month free.
