What are thoughts on private voting/discussions? For voting Pros: less politics involved, ppl can vote what theybwant Cons: governance attacks easier Discussions Pros: people can say what they want without fear - you can tell if there is a plan to attack governance Cons: ?

There are some creative approaches to vote counting you could use to try to fight that (Quadratic voting being the most popular one) Personally I think private voting prevents social pressures which are always annoying to deal with

Some privacy in the vote can also prevent certain governance attacks. E.g. #1 if the tally is hidden, it's harder for whales to work out how much they need to buy up last minute to sway the vote #2 public Blockchain make bribery and vote selling really easy (.. if indeed that's seen as a bug)

I think it's also relevant what kind of voting/governance model is in place.
