What are thoughts on private voting/discussions?

For voting

Pros: less politics involved, ppl can vote what theybwant
Cons: governance attacks easier

Discussions

Pros: people can say what they want without fear - you can tell if there is a plan to attack governance
Cons: ?

This is also for daos in its current state.   Hypothetically if a government uses a dao i would absolutely want everything to be public

Good point - probably would be good to have some form of knowing if the person knows what they are talking about

Cons for discussion: depending on the reputation of the individual the discussion can have more or less of an impact.

My take is privacy can be super helpful for certain proposals and actively harmful for others

Vote privacy needs to slowly become modular so it can be opted-in per proposal. We're not far from this
