if it's for nook i'd suggest a clean monoline cursive with a bit of personality (left) or a legible handwritten font (right). you can even experiment with getting everyone on the team to write out "nook" and then see who has the best, scan it, and vectorize it for your logo (most important thing with a cursive font logo is legibility tho)

not for nook, for the new app I'm working on. current working names are glimmer or tenor (leaning towards glimmer). I like shelby bold actually, I just wish the (g) connected. Was looking at Pacifico but feels like that has less personality. (am I overthinking this lol)

nah not at all! if something annoys you about a font others are likely to notice it (even if they can't pinpoint what it is, like the g not connecting) if you like a font but don't like one part, you can pop it into illustrator, outline it and alter it to be exactly how you want like so
