hello fc founders :) what are the biggest struggles you faced early on in your founder journey? what resources were the most precious and valuable, yet hard to find? what is magical about fc that makes it easier to be a founder?

Biggest struggles early, and often, particularly in crypto are blocking out noise and avoiding burnout. Long-term genuine partnerships. Being able to stick to your vision while aligning with the right funding sources. True genuine connections and quick authentic responses from credible individuals.

It’s inspiring to be around people chasing their dreams. IRL so few do, and might even look down on those who do. FC is a haven for dreamers.

Best founder resource I’ve had is a cofounder whose strengths are your weaknesses.

Best for me was starting a monthly group meeting of founders, going deep on work, personal, similar to Entrepreneurs Org The group was invaluable for keeping sane, tactics, support & resources Some things only founders can fully understand, some things can’t discuss w/cofounders or even spouse Only w/founders

Biggest struggles: 1) being a female founder is honestly pretty lonely, the tech bubble is still very male dominated. It really frustrates me on a bad day and motivates me on a good day. 2) learning to make tons of tough decisions a day. Valuable resources: learning to listen to my intuition!! Leading with values!!

Idk how to put it to words... but feeling lonely in the pursuit of what you're building. Even with people around you in your life. FC was a place I reached out early on looking for answers about building that I hadn't found an answer(s) IRL. It's actually why I started and continue to put on the Seattle FC meetup.

Most precious resource: peer support. Founding a company is very much learn-by-doing and rare, so either finding or creating a community of peers is essential.

One of the most scarce resources was blunt feedback. So hard to get people that will just tell you like it is.

I can only really answer the last (still in the middle of the first and haven't found the second yet), but FC has so many helpful (and willing to help) users and they are actually reachable and will respond/provide help, unlike anywhere else. It's amazing
