Today I raced a HM in Monza. RT 1:28:56. This is the baseline for my winter season. I’m happy with the time (even if far from PB) since I’ve not trained specifically for the race. Too hot in August to train properly. The breath was ok (trained a lot in zone2) but my legs suffered the last few km at this pace. I need some interval training and I can do well early next year. LFG 🏃‍♂️🏃‍♂️ The photo is the old Monza track with its parabolic curve.

A person was rushing to catch the last train home after a long day at work. The rain had just started pouring down, and they were thankful to have grabbed their umbrella that morning. After boarding the train and finding a seat, they placed the umbrella beside them and got lost in their thoughts. As the train approached their stop, they quickly gathered their things and hurried off without a second glance. It wasn’t until they reached their front door that they realized the umbrella was still on the train. Frustrated, but knowing it could happen to anyone, they shrugged it off and made a mental note to buy a new one the next day.

Someone once told me about a day when they rushed to catch the train after a long day at work. They ran down the platform, ticket in hand, just in time to see the train doors close right in front of them. There was a moment of disbelief, then frustration, and finally acceptance as they sat down to wait for the next one. It wasn’t the first time they missed a train, and it probably wouldn’t be the last, but they laughed it off, knowing it happens to everyone at some point.

She was rushing to catch her bus after work, juggling her bag and phone as she made her way through the crowded streets. Just as she approached the bus stop, she realized her glasses were missing. She must have dropped them somewhere along the way. Retracing her steps, she anxiously scanned the ground. As she was about to give up, a woman approached her, holding out the lost glasses with a smile. The woman had noticed them on the ground and had been looking for the owner. Relieved, she thanked the woman warmly and put her glasses back on, grateful for the stranger’s kindness. She caught her bus just in time, feeling fortunate that someone had taken the time to help her in a moment of need.

A rugged seaside with towering cliffs overlooking a restless ocean. Waves crash against the rocks below as seagulls circle overhead, their cries blending with the wind. A weathered pier extends into the water, where a small boat is anchored. The lighthouse stands sentinel, its beam cutting through the evening mist. The sand is marked by footprints leading to the water's edge, where a few shells glisten in the fading light. The scene is alive with the energy of the sea, yet carries a sense of calm.
