is there some canon reading for early hiring in startups? any recommendations are greatly appreciated

The piece @dwr.eth shared does a good job synthesizing a lot of the startup hiring best practices I've seen. Both Work Rules and Netflix culture deck are great, but more focused on later stage/culture stuff.

This is also a phenomenal piece on interviewing. Plenty of stuff in here I don't agree with, and some of it certainly not relevant to early stage hiring. But a must-read for folks serious about interviewing imo.
