Hey @harpcaster, this is my work profile for reference: 314yush.xyz i’ve loved solving problems, finding solutions with teams since school. Spent a lot of time helping businesses solve branding issues, and realised the potential my skills had in web3 marketing. But after couple years - contd…

marketing isn’t rewarding anymore. Mainly because there is only ‘so’ much I can work on as a marketer - product roles like product analyst / product managers are exciting & my roles at previous companies translated into more of a PM role naturally. How do I get good and hired as a product analyst/manager?

Hi! It's not impossible. Frankly the best way to shift tracks is to do it within a single org. But if you're looking for something net new, you'll have to get really good at telling your story. Your website is good! I'd try to make it a bit more scannable (headings/sections would help)

And then you'll want to highlight the product-focused work you've done. You've already done this a bit. Also it doesn't help to state your intention. If you want to do product work, tell us! Hope that helps.

Thanks for the reply - this is very helpful. A follow up to this would be, currently I am at a cross roads of marketing, product growth, community so how do i position myself to get into either founders’ office or Product analyst? Mainly because teams don’t actively hire for roles like this but they do for growth

It will be challenging to get a job that a team is not hiring for. I've seen it happen a couple times, but the person basically had to just start doing the work for free at first. And do it well enough to convince the org that it would be worth paying them for.

that’s also what I’m currently trying to do aswell, talking to founders, listening about their growth problems / future plans, helping them achieve it. At then cracking either a freelance or some form of engagement
