Hey Harper, thanks for doing this! What role do you see artists in when it comes to the OP ecosystem? What is the significance of the artist perspective to the OP ecosystem? As we see more VC backed creators, is this a route OP is interested in exploring? If so, what are some standout characteristics? Thanks!

Hi! Artists are crucial to culture and culture is crucial to collectives. The artist perspective is a valuable one! A lot of what's being built within Optimism/crypto more broadly can be very challenging to communicate to people unfamiliar with the space. I think artists are uniquely positioned to help translate.

I was very intrigued with the art contest and have been prepping my submission for months as it’s part of a much larger project w the Legacy Portrait Project. Web 3 companies have a unique opportunity to work w/ some of the most innovative artist minds and I think some incredible impactful work can be done together
