Can you share your note capturing system. After 15 years of mostly reading on Kindle I switched to physical books but missing the highlight + sync feature.

For physical books I usually take pictures of key pages + quotes and then store them on an /obsidian note. Then once done with a book sometimes write down takeaways and then try to link to other notes/concepts. Historically have used Evernote for physical book images too (can search text within images).

I use the readwise app which lets me snap a photo of the text, then highlight the text in readwise. I then connect Readwise to Scrintal. For articles, blog posts etc I use Readwise reader to highlight and then connect in Scrintal.

Hmmm. If you're looking to highlight and sync, why go back to physical books? I love how I can highlight in Kindle, send them to my email address, and then copy/paste the highlights into Workflowy where I take notes.
