one question that seems surface level but is incredibly important: "of all the things you could do, why do you want to cofound *this* company?"

I would personally have 30 min conversation about random things first, getting to know hem - and then a 3-4 hour conversation to get to know them well and ask whatever comes up. In the end, if you are looking for a co-founder, make sure it’s the right fit.

When considering a potential cofounder, ask about their vision for the company, their problem-solving approach, how they handle conflict, and their long-term commitment. It’s crucial to align on values and goals for a successful partnership.
