how do you decide how much time to spend doing social things for work (casting, events, coffee zooms, etc) vs building?

building /cabin, village-elder-ing /farcon | grin.io

Really a case by case basis but I am focused on distribution so casting about Bountycaster is important IMO. Otherwise I don't really attend any events beyond 1-2 conferences a year (FarCon + will be Devcon)

I think a question I ask often is if this is for the company or my own ego and that helps guide me
