One take away I had is that a decrease from 5M $degen to 1M $degen per season in tip emissions to battle farming and attempt to help improve the Degen project and community.

My key takeaway is that there are a lot of good ideas being tossed around and that we will bounce back from the issues this week.

My critique is that more clear communication up front is needed.

agreed, and this makes it tricky to understand and navigate.

what I learned is that the plans and ideas are big for next 3-3.5 years. but there is no clear understanding of how to implement this and no step-by-step road map as such. therefore, it turns out that at the beginning of the season there are some conditions, at the end they are different.

I understood if you averaged that over a period of time (a season?) and the trigger point isnt decided. they understand a decent amount of reciprocity is healthy and expected, especially in a smaller, tight-knit community

As i understood if you exchanged more than 60% with another user you will be banned right ?

Well those who maliciously took advantage of a 'vulnerability' should be banned, imo. Or do you refer to those attempting to game the tips by only doing reciprocal (i tip you if you tip me back) tip farming?

good move from degen team, except why they banned people on end of the season, they can implement it on next season

The part where he said his nw is still in $Degen made me keep my conviction. He may not fully understand the user's perspective on this, but i know his heart is in the right place in regards to $Degen.

I think it will be going to b a new beginning same as from the S1 if its going from 5M to 1M lets see in the new season what will be the impact of that

Quick breakdown summary of the space hosted by @burrrrrberry concerning @jacek’s decision on degen and its users.

I requested to speak on the space at a point cause no one was really asking or saying the right thing until s3an and Burrr (God bless you guys), but i guess i was late.

Jacek: gives a rule last year on how tipping should be less than 15 times given/received yes?
Sounds fair, then proceeds to giving 3 days rollover, that’s super cool, now farmers can wash less than 15 times in a month without being affected.

(i do think the rollover is a great idea though)

Oh wait! There’s more, by the end of January i would bring up the query and immediately ban users who have “ABUSED” this rule of the T4T risks and maybe listen to their plea about unbanning them for the next season (no care about payments they must have received from degen tips?)

Also does that mean most /microsub users will get banned too or rather have a lot of tips gone? @downshift.eth ,i don’t think i got that part right

I'm feeling conflicted about all this. It's unfair to content creators, but I also understand Jack's perspective.

My take is Jacek is doing a good job but just like the Micheal Oliver red card on MLS we all know Jacek threw community trust into the gutter

I trust Jacek, and waiting the new rules for the coming season and how is the allowance calculated
