chatted with a VC who was bearish on farcaster because of "lack of traction" - i was surprised to hear this as i personally appreciate the slower/more intentional approach to giving access to high quality users rather than farming growth with ponzinomics incentives... (1/2)

IMO most mainstream web3 consumer product that is working is NBA Top Shot from Dapper Labs.

I feel the key difference between farcaster and lens is that with farcaster it's very explicitly just about social and no token stuff, but with Lens, value is pretty ingrained so it attracts a lot of airdrop farmers, which muddies a the puddle :(
