chatted with a VC who was bearish on farcaster because of "lack of traction" - i was surprised to hear this as i personally appreciate the slower/more intentional approach to giving access to high quality users rather than farming growth with ponzinomics incentives... (1/2)

has anyone else seen super fast growing web3 consumer products that aren't using some X to earn model? aka actually just growing very quickly organically?

couldn't agree with you more. Idolizing hockey stick growth in crypto (the right of the graph) often leads to the downward spiral in the left of the graph. this graph mirrors the growth curve (in TVL) for the majority of DeFi projects... yikes. https://i.imgur.com/hT3d4BD.png

imo too much user adoption before product maturity and strong market fit leads to negative UX for a large percentage of the user base. Those users tend to give on the product and never look back. Agree, slow & steady gives the team time to work out any kinks and scale gracefully.
