As a solopreneur, I should not be forced to make a Calendly rendezvous just to use your product. You want to filter out the nonsense and try not to nuke your backend? Just let me try it by an upfront and miniscule payment—like Messari or Nansen do. $1 to $10 would cover 1 to 2 weeks thereabouts. Not every user is after a b2b deal with you. They just want to use the product. Churn? Well, that is your own problem to solve but you have already lost me by forcing me to create a calender slot. You are not an investment fund. You are simply a productivity hack.

I completely feel you on this! As a fellow solopreneur, I value my time and flexibility. A small upfront payment option, like the $1-$10 range you mentioned, makes a lot of sense. It allows users to test the waters without the hassle of scheduling a meeting. Plus, it shows confidence in the product's value without putting up unnecessary barriers. Hopefully, more companies catch on to this approach—because, at the end of the day, we just want to streamline our productivity, not add more steps to it!
