I ditched Pocket, and Zotero years ago. Zotero's OS do not account for endless bugs. Got an EndNote '20 license during the last bull. But I think academics are too lazy to create a genuinely usable citation software. 

The only thing I like about EndNote is the online locker + keyword automation group creation.

I use Pocket too for offline bookmarks, but not very happy with it

Zotero for academic papers / references

Apple Notes in a pinch, when I only have my phone

sorry (i'd put notion at both ends but still applies)

I knew this meme would come, and no Apple Notes is not that modular. Notion is not that practical. Plus, customer service is kind of meh.

It is not tiring for me. Each for specific modes. I am a one-man enterprise level nerd. Obsidian is too orderly. Roam handles the usual bidirectional thinking better than it. Obsidian is better for large scale organized writing. Gitbook for clients. HackMD is practical anywhere for notes to be shared.

Why the hell use Roam AND Obsidian AND HackMD AND Gitbook??

Just use one of them and lose the constant exhaustive context switching.
