BUNDLE YOUR BUYS 1. We now bundles likes with recasts by default in @ampsfun 2. This adds a small additional fee ($0.50) that goes to the user and improves the ratio of recasts / likes. 3. You can turn it off if you just want to buy recasts. 4. If someone has already organically liked your cast, we exclude them so you don’t pay extra.

I dropped about $80 on @ampsfun to try to move from 16 -> 10 on the leaderboard in the last 12 hours. My thinking was, if successful, I’d get another $200. $200 > $80. That’d be a win. Unfortunately, too little too late. On to the next week.

Why did my follower account decrease? 1. Yesterday, we changed how Warpcast counts followers by excluding users our algorithm flags as spammy. 2. Twitter (at least historically) and Instagram both do this. 3. We've had an uptick in spam recently, so as part of improving our spam models we decided to make this change. 4. View this less as losing followers and more us giving you a more accurate (but not perfectly accurate!) view of your audience. 5. There are additional improvements we can make here and we will likely do that over the coming weeks and months. 6. Important: this change only affects Warpcast’s display—it doesn’t alter protocol data; those accounts still follow you. And if you follow a spammy account, i.e. you don't find it spammy, you'll see their casts. 7. Third-party apps can access Warpcast’s open-source spam labels. 8. I find the backlash to platforms experimenting with new ways for digital artists to earn money for their work to be fascinating. If price per work is high, artists like it but the potential market of customers is significantly smaller, especially in a bear market. If price per work is low, artists don't like it but the potential market of customers is significantly larger, even despite a bear market. If 2021 NFT mania was an anomaly, then clearly the internet-native approach is lower price, larger market. But emotionally, that feels bad. Wonder how you bridge that.

i am theorizing that there are three classes of products in crypto. 1. real world crypto: upgrading existing systems, institutions, products to be internet native and crypto native. this is stuff like defi, stablecoins, rwas, payments, depin 2. new world crypto: new behaviors or systems created for the internet era. memecoins and daos and nfts and such. 3. the plumbing and infra for both of the above
