I think some of the incumbents are going to adapt well. For example, I think Apple will do well in AI even though they are not the fastest moving horse in the race.

Another one that might do well is Meta with their massive investment in AI and GPUs.

thoughts on incumbents embracing AI or crypto/blockchain in the form of acquisitions, internal investments, etc? how will that impact startup ecosystems?

examples: Wyre acquired by Bolt, VISA creating DID for interoperable payments between paypal, venmo, etc; WaveOne (video compression AI algorithms) acquired by Apple

Lots of papers but lack of substance. In terms of commercialization, there are a few exceptions, TikTok is one. 

IMO the standard view of China right now is the same as of Japan in the 70s. I.e. there is a lot of hype but not this will not necessarily pay out.

What’s the state of AI research and commercialization in China?

It can probably help you calculate the velocity of ethereum as money. The lower the velocity, the higher its “market cap”

Can I learn anything by monitoring the percentage of ETH that is staked? Should Ethereans worry if that number looks “too high” or “too low”?
