More stuff I’ll say on farcaster but not on X: I think theirs a big backlash against Vercel/NextJS brewing. Seeing the team focus on their AI product while NextJS gets more and more janky (upgrade to 15, etc) and predatory (lock in features) is disturbing. I don’t think their business model is working out.

if you're using Next.js and deploying anywhere but Vercel, you're harming user experience. Almost all crypto sites are Next.js-based and the growing Vercel critique (warranted) might push some to explore other hosting options. Just remember Next.js anywhere but Vercel == bad UX.

might be. The issue is more that certain Next.js APIs are only implemented and available through Vercel

Could that be why performance is horrible on a beefy VPS? Haven’t investigated but latency there has been bad for me.

Still need to run a comparison with remix though
